SIDS - Sudden Infant Death Services of Ilinois

Sudden Infant Death Services of Illinois, Inc. is a 501 (c ) 3 charitable organization. We survive on the kindness and generous donations of time and money from our families, friends and the communities who support our mission. We also rely heavily on our major fund raisers. As a small organization, we can be extremely flexible concerning the memorial wishes of families. For a list of possible fund raising event suggestions, please contact Brad Cox at the office. Below are some of the easy ways that you can help our organization.

Many donors do not realize that there are ways to contribute that will benefit them come tax-time. A tax-favored year end gift to the Sudden Infant Death Services of Illinois- outright or deferred-can be appealing. In addition, your charitable dollars can improve the lives of Illinois babies and their families.

Your financial support of the Sudden Infant Death Services of Illinois is an investment in the crusade to eliminate Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, a mysterious killer of babies one week to one year of age. Contributors to SIDS of Illinois can help meet the needs of Illinois families and ever-increasing expenses through a variety of tax-deductible gifts.

Each month, SIDS of Illinois offers families the ability to remember and memorialize their child in a very special way. For a small donation of $50, your child can be featured on the front page of our website. In addition, you can add of to 3 other photos of your baby or your family that will appear on an additional page. If you wish to include a poem or other inscription – you can do that too! What a wonderful way to remember a birth anniversary! After the supported month, your babies photos will be moved to the memorial page along with the other babies.

Memorial Fund
The Memorial fund will give you and your family a special, meaningful way to remember your loved one year after year and will further our critical programs to help fulfill our mission. SIDS of Illinois allows each family a great deal of flexibility to choosing or creating a program or project. We ask for a commitment of support for a minimum of three consecutive years. Donations can be generated through an annual mailing to friends, family and colleagues or they can be initiated as part of a memorial or remembrance service.
